Picture Quality

The Gigabyte AORUS FI27Q monitor is based on an IPS panel with QHD 1440p 2560×1440 resolution with a 165hz refresh rate, a 350 cd/m² brightness, 10-bit colour (8-bit + FRC).

The FI27Q, like most IPS displays, has a poor contrast ratio, which results in blacks that look more like white. The FI27Q has remarkable brightness at peak SDRs. There is no visible difference in brightness when viewing different content, such as gaming, watching movies, news or media creation, and in a well-lit space, it is bright enough to eliminate glare.

The Aorus FI27Q has a decent HDR colour volume. The High Dynamic Range (HDR) displays have a greater colour detail and contrast than standard dynamic range (SDR) displays, as well as more vivid colours.

The Gigabyte AORUS FI27Q has 178°(H)/178°(V) decent viewing angle. The picture does not degrade if viewed from an angle, and the edges do not blur while seated near the screen either.

This monitor lacks a local dimming feature but has impressive grey uniformity. Straight out of the box, the FI27Q has excellent colour accuracy. Some shades have inaccuracies, but greys are outstanding.

This monitor has to be calibrated when you first use it to achieve colour accuracy.

Performance

The AORUS FI27Q uses advanced 10bit(8 bits+FRC) colour IPS display technology that gives you 178/178 degrees of extra-wide viewing angles. While the FI27Q’s smooth rendering ability during gaming will deny any possibility of ghosting effects and lead you to victory.

AORUS FI27Q Gaming monitor features the most sophisticated LED systems currently available on the market. With its intuitive UI and customizability, you will be able to create a gaming environment exclusively for you, thanks to the RGB Fusion App. LED enthusiasts now have the opportunity to show off their creativity by being able to configure several areas individually.

The FI27Q is compatible with NVIDIA ® G-SYNC ®. NVIDIA validates each display to provide a smooth, variable refresh rate (VRR) gaming experience that removes tearing, stuttering, glitches and flickering at refresh rates of up to 165Hz and you get the competitive edge you want, backed by the performance you trust.

The FI27Q has a decent colour range for HDR. The use of the DCI P3 colour, used in most HDR content, is perfect. DCI-P3 is a popular RGB colour space in the American film industry for digital film projection. DCI-P3 covers more red and green compared to sRGB, which is more reliable and more precise, allowing people to see more natural colours.

Design & Connectivity

The FI27Q has a better build quality and ergonomics with an outstanding design with VESA mount support. The FI27Q is ergonomically advanced. With strong tilt and pivoting ability, it allows for all sorts of changes and can be rotated to portrait mode.
