If you’re looking for the best value 4K TV, the TCL 6-Series is the one to get. It offers excellent picture quality, good performance, and a wide range of sizes. The only downside is that it lacks frame interpolation for gaming or sports use cases. However, this shouldn’t be a deal breaker for most people since it still delivers excellent value overall.
Overall, we think the TCL 6-Series is an excellent choice for anyone looking for a great 4K TV on a budget. This should be at the top of your list if you can live without frame interpolation support.
Verdict
We’ve been impressed with TCL’s 6-series TVs since the company debuted the 6-series back in 2018, and the 2020 model is no different. The 65-inch TCL 65P615 is the best mid-range 4K TV we’ve tested, and It has excellent picture quality and a great range of features.
The only downside is its price, which is a bit high for a mid-range TV. The TCL 65P615 is one of the market’s best mid-range 4K TVs.

- Affordable: Very affordable for a 65-inch 4K TV.
Cons:

Features
The TCL 6-Series features 4K UHD picture quality with HDR support. The TCL P615 is a 65-inch 4K Ultra HD Smart LED TV with a 3840 x 2160. It has a refresh rate of 120 Hz and a 16:9 aspect ratio.
The TV has three HDMI ports, one USB port, and one component video input. It also has built-in Wi-Fi and Ethernet connectivity. The P615 can be controlled with the included IR remote or with the Tcl TV app, which is available for Android and iOS devices.
Price
The TCL 6-Series is one of the most affordable 4K TVs on the market, and it offers a great value for the price.
Release Date
The TCL 6-Series was released in 2018 and quickly became one of the market’s most popular 4K TVs. It’s a great choice for anyone looking for a budget-friendly option with excellent picture quality. The only downside is that it doesn’t have frame interpolation for gaming or sports use cases.
Design
The TCL 6-Series has a fairly standard design for a modern 4K TV. It features slim bezels around the screen and a simple stand that lets you easily mount it on a table or shelf. The rear of the TV looks sleek and refined.
Overall, we think the TCL 6-Series has a great design that’s sure to fit in with most home theatre setups.
Picture Quality
The picture quality of the TCL 6-Series is excellent, especially compared to other 4K TVs in its price range. It offers excellent HDR performance, with bright highlights and deep black levels.
The colours are also very accurate, and the image is generally artefact-free. We were also impressed with the TV’s ability to upconvert lower resolution content, like 1080p Blu-rays. Overall, we think the TCL 6-Series is an excellent choice for anyone looking for a great picture at a reasonable price.
Smart Tv
The TCL 6-Series also comes with a competent, smart TV platform. It’s based on the Roku platform, one of the most popular and user-friendly platforms.
The interface is straightforward and easy to use, and many apps and channels are available. You’ll be able to find just about anything you’re looking for, whether it’s streaming content or local content.
The only downside is that the platform isn’t as fully featured as some of the more expensive options, but it still offers more than enough features for most users.
Remote
The remote that comes with the TCL 6-Series is very basic, but it gets the job done. It’s a traditional IR remote, so you’ll need to point it directly at the TV to use it.
The buttons are all clearly labeled and easy to use. We would have liked to see a few more buttons, like dedicated buttons for Netflix and Hulu, but overall we think the remote is fine for most people.
Sound
The sound quality of the TCL 6-Series is good, but not great. It’s adequate for most content but lacks the power and clarity you’ll find on more expensive TVs.
The bass is also a bit lacking, so we wouldn’t recommend using this TV as your main home theatre system. If you’re looking for great sound, you’ll need to invest in a separate soundbar or surround sound system.
Connections
The TCL 6-Series has a decent selection of connections, but it’s lacking in some areas. It has three HDMI inputs, which is enough for most people. However, it only has one USB port, not USB 3.0.
This means you won’t be able to use the TV as a media hub for your external hard drives or flash drives. The TV also lacks an Ethernet port, so you’ll need to rely on Wi-Fi for your internet connection. Overall, we think the TCL 6-Series has a good selection of connections, but it’s not great.
Performance
The performance of the TCL 6-Series is outstanding, thanks to its powerful processor and ample amount of RAM. It can easily handle all types of content, whether streaming 4K HDR video or playing high-resolution games.
We did notice some minor input lag when gaming, but it wasn’t enough to be noticeable unless you’re a competitive gamer. Overall, the TCL 6-Series provides excellent performance that should please most users.
Value
If you’re looking for the best possible value in a 4K TV, the TCL 6-Series should be at the top of your list. It offers excellent picture quality and performance and is available in various sizes. Overall, we think the TCL 6-Series is an excellent choice for anyone looking for a great 4K TV on a budget.
